Chapter 1

Active participation in the theatre life of the regional and general schools of Sakartelo and the youth generation and direct participation in it (as actors, directors, scriptwriters, etc.). The "First Autograph" festival of youth and school theatre groups is held in Batumi every year in the last week of November.

Organisation of the Festival

 

Chapter 2

 

The author, founder, and organiser of the "First Autograf" Festival of Youth and School Theatre Groups - the creative organisation "Art Portal," later the "First Autograf" Festival Board of Directors, which selects the Festival organising group, determines the Festival and non-festival programme, selects the guests of honour and develops the festival strategy.

Chapter 4

 

Those wishing to participate in the Festival (public or private schools) must submit to the Festival Management, by 15 June of the Festival year at the latest, letters of agreement for the establishment of school theatre troupes or existing troupes, willingness to participate in the Festival and the completed application for school theatre troupes by 25 September at the latest; the management will make the selection of performances of the "First Autograph" programme, and the choice of Festival and non-Festival programmes or the on-site viewing will take place by 24 October of the Festival year at the latest. School theatre groups whose performances have not yet been shown publicly, including on closed festival platforms, may participate in the Festival, regardless of whether it is a festival or non-festival programme. The plays must be presented at the Festival with a first performance.

The festival management will determine the programme of the performances to be shown at the Festival and the school theatre company that will present the play and in which space.

 

After the play has been presented at the Festival, the school theatre company is free to present the work at other festivals or in other suitable venues at its discretion. However, before any performance, some form of reference must be made to the fact that the play in question was created for the "First Autograph" festival or was shown at said Festival.

Chapter 5

During the festival program selection, preference is given to performances created this year or last year and not shown in public spaces.

 

The "First Autograph" festival program comprises 6 or 12 performances. The non-festival programme is subscribed to throughout the year, and the following conditions must be met:

When selecting a work, it should be a Georgian script or a fairy tale from world literature, or a newly created theatre piece.

Duration of the performances - 30-50 minutes

Composition of the troupe - maximum 15 teenagers

When selecting festival performances, attention is paid to the unit's language, acting skills, stage costumes, music production, stage design, dynamics, and aesthetic quality.

Chapter 6

All conditions will be strictly adhered to; otherwise the management of the "First Autograph" School Theatre Group Festival reserves the right not to include the school theatre group in the festival or non-festival programme.

Chapter 7

 

A completed application form must be submitted to the First Autograph Youth School Theatre Troupe Festival by 25 September. (see the application form)

Production of plays, transport, and costs

 

Chapter 8

 

The school administration will cover the costs of creating the festival performances (creative group, decoration, costumes, music, etc.) as well as transport costs. If you watch the performances on site, the festival provides various rooms, lighting, sound, projection, stage drivers and all the technical means to stage other performances in a dignified manner.

Chapter 9

The conditions for inviting guests to the festival are determined by the festival management. It is a person who has been honoured with the "Great Child" nomination or the creative team of the performance that will be presented at the opening ceremony of the festival. The festival management will cover the travelling and hotel expenses of the guests during the festival. The conditions for the participation of other guests will be determined by the festival management by personal invitation.

Chapter 10 Judges

The performances of the festival programme will be judged by a qualified jury consisting of three members, including Shrore's peer jury in the form of a teenager.

 

The management of the "First Autograph" festival bears the costs of each jury member's participation in the festival (transport, hotel, fees). Persons who are directly or indirectly related to a sister of the school theatre cannot be part of the jury.

 

Chapter 11

Prizes

Festival of youth, school theater troupes "First Autograph" establishes additional prizes:

Every year, the Festival awards a special prize called "Big Kid," the symbol of the festival "Harlequin" for special contribution to children:

In 2022, the Festival established a prize of actor Berdia Intskirveli for his special contribution to Georgian theatre and cinema to immortalise his name.

In 2023, the Festival also established a prize of actor Bidzina Mikautadze for his special contribution to Georgian theatre.

The "First Autograph" festival prizes, selected by the festival jury, are awarded in the following nominations:

Chapter 12

Note: The festival management reserves the right to determine and award additional nominations if necessary.

Final provision

Participation in the festival is determined by compliance with all clauses of the existing regulations.
